A METHOD FOR CALCULATING HELICOPTER VORTEX PATHS AND WAKE VELOCITIES.

Abstract

A simple method is developed for calculating the time averaged velocity field induced at large distances from the rotor by a helicopter in steady horizontal motion. The influence of the ground plane and of horizontal winds on the rotor wake and velocity field is included. (Author)
