EVALUATION OF THE LONGITUDINAL STATIC STABILITY OF THE US-2A AIRCRAFT.

Abstract

The aircraft was equipped with a data acquisition system capable of sensing and recording aerodynamic data other than that given by the standard cockpit instruments. Recorded data were displayed graphically and the neutral points for stick-free stability and stick-fixed stability were determined. Stick-free static margin and stick-fixed static margin were determined and evaluated. (Author)
