RESEARCH ON FAILURE INDICATOR SYSTEM.

Abstract

Recording and frequency analysis of vibration data by means of coherent optical data processing techniques is described with special emphasis on the detection or diagnosis of failures in rotating mechanisms. Vibration signals from gas turbine engines and bearings were analysed and compressor, turbine, bearing, and gear components were identified in the optical spectrum. (Author)
