PROJECT FLAMBEAU...AN INVESTIGATION OF MASS FIRE (1964-1967). VOLUME 2. CATALOGUE OF PROJECT FLAMBEAU FIRES, 1964-1967

Abstract

The report summarizes, in catalogue form, the data available from nine experimental fires conducted by Project Flambeau from 1964 to 1967. The fires were burned as part of an investigation of mass fires. The following types of data were measured, recorded, and are available: fuel weight loss, flame temperature, air flow, differential and barometric pressures, fuel moisture, relative humidity, heat flux, gas temperature, soil temperature, snow melt measurements, thermal radiation, heat output, convection column, and weighing platform moisture.
