DIGITAL NOISE GENERATION,

Abstract

The report deals with a specific need for digital noise and presents some computer routines for generating such noise. It also presents an analysis of the spectral characteristics of noise from these specific subroutines. The problem of band limiting is discussed and some band limiting results are presented. The attenuation of a band limiting filter is treated and a gain term defined which will prevent attenuation for a truly white noise sequence. The attenuation or amplification which may occur for a nonwhite noise sequence is explained. (Author)
