RESEARCH ON THE ABRASIVE WEAR RESISTANCE OF MANGANESE CAST IRON INOCULATED WITH CERIUM, USING THE Kh4-B MACHINE,

Abstract

The abrasive-wear resistance of austenitic Mn cast irons MCh4Ts, MCh6Ts, MCh10Ts, and MCh12Ts containing different Mn contents, i.e. 4.0-11.0 percent, and modified with 0.012-0.110 percent Ce was studied. The highest wear resistance was shown by MCh4Ts (containing Mn 4.0 percent).
