A HIGH SPEED TELEVISION RECORDING SYSTEM WITH SLOW AND STOP MOTION REPLAY.

Abstract

A television recording system is described which is designed to record rapid movements often occurring at unpredictable times. The picture signal is recorded on magnetic tape which enables instant replay of information at real time or slower rates to be achieved. The system provides 100 pictures per second which have 200 line resolution. The effective exposure time for each picture is 0.0001 second when electronic flash is used or 0.001 second when a rotating shutter is employed. Total recording time is 1 hour when one tape recorder is used. (Author)
