UNITED STATES COAST GUARD OCEANOGRAPHIC SENSOR STUDY. VOLUME VI. TEST REQUIREMENTS FOR OCEANOGRAPHIC AND METEOROLOGICAL SENSORS,

Abstract

Task 5 was concerned with the development of test and calibration techniques required to measure the sensor compliance with the performance, mechanical, and electrical specifications. A test program was written that provides for a rigorous examination of each basic sensor design as it applies to performance in the operational environment and its ability to survive the environment imposed by storage, transportation, predeployment, and deployment handling.
