CONFERENCE ON TRENDS IN DIFFUSION - TEDDINGTON, MIDDLESEX, 25-26 FEBRUARY 1970.

Abstract

During February 25 and 26, 1970, under the sponsorship of the British Institute of Physics and the Physical Society, the National Physical Laboratory at Teddington was host to a Conference on the diffusion of atoms and diffusion-controlled processes in solids. This meeting consisted of somewhat more than two dozen contributed papers, almost all of which dealt with metals; there were only a few reports of work on semiconductors, oxides, and molecular crystals. Although most of the research described was on bulk diffusion, there were an appreciable number of papers concerned with mobility of atoms at interfaces. (Author)
