PERFORMANCE OF A 90-FOOT QUASI-TAPERED ANECHOIC CHAMBER: 120 MHz TO 93 GHz.

Abstract

The performance of the ninety foot anechoic chamber at The Aerospace Corporation is summarized. This chamber is a quasi-taper design which tapers from a large rectangular test section to a smaller transmitting section. This design combines the attractive features of both the rectangular and fully tapered chambers. The reflection level of this chamber is sufficiently low to permit radar cross section (RCS) or radiation measurements to be made from VHF to millimeter wavelength frequencies. The geometry, performance, and instrumentation are described. (Author)
