STRONG SURFACE WIND GUSTS AT HOLLOMAN AFB (MARCH-MAY).

Abstract

A climatological study was made of strong surface winds at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, for the months of March through May. Winds were categorized as 25-34 knots, 35-49 knots, and 50 knots or more. The frequency of strong winds was analyzed in terms of direction, station pressure, and time of day for all three categories. (Author)
