EARTHWORK UNDER WINTER CONDITIONS.

Abstract

The manual gives information on the physical and mechanical properties of frozen ground, methods for their loosening and thawing and methods for safeguarding the ground from freezing. Also given are the characteristics of earthwork in winter (in-applicable to areas of permafrost) and the technical and economic indices for the working of frozen ground by different methods.
