Abstract

The book sets forth practical methods of designing foundations on perpetually frozen soils. The first chapter contains brief information on the structural properties of frozen soils and ways to use them for bases for buildings, while the second and third chapters deal with methods of designing foundations on bases composed of frozen and thawing soils.
