AN EXPERIMENTAL PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION ON THE MANAGEMENT OF TRAINING

Abstract

A 96-hour course on the management of training was developed and evaluated for presentation to Advanced Officer classes. The general procedures followed in developing the course were: construction based on job task statements, a systems engineering approach to training, and state-of-the-art technology; repeated presentation of course materials, and modification by training research personnel on the basis of student and instructor appraisals. The course was then presented and evaluated by a military instructor.
