REVIEW OF SOME RESULTS CONCERNING APPROXIMATION OF SOME PHYSICAL CONSTANTS.

Abstract

Work done under Grant EOOAR-69-0060 is summarized. It concerns approximation of some physical constants (eigenvalues and electrostatics capacity). A method for decomposing the vector space of 3-vector valued functions on a cube into subspaces, which are invariant for the elasticity operator, is given. A method for the computation of orthogonal invariants is expounded. The electrostatics capacity of closed surface is numerically approximated. (Author)
