CATEGORY ANALYSIS OF THE SCORING SYSTEM FOR HOSTILE PRESS.

Abstract

The study has to do with an analysis of the scoring system for hostile press. Three hundred and eighty six males and four hundred and eighty one females were used as subjects in a study with four major objectives: To determine which of the varieties of press yield the most subcategories, to determine which varieties of press are more likely to be followed by other high scoring stories in the same individual, to determine which of the varieties of press are most closely associated with the highest overall hostile press scores, and to determine which of the varieties of press appear most frequently together in te different stories of the same individual. The analysis is carried out and suggestions for further research are made. (Author)
