SELF-ORGANIZING CONTROL SYSTEM DEMONSTRATOR.

Abstract

The report presents a summary of self-organizing controller (SOC) principles, the description of a laboratory Demonstrator Self-Organizing Control System, discussion of design alternatives considered prior to its fabrication, and a test procedure for verification of proper operation of the Demonstrator. This Demonstrator was developed to obtain physical proof of multivariable SOC principles pertaining to control of flight vehicles; it is also a research tool and instruction device for further exploration of SOC applications and comparative studies of manual and SOC control performance.
