THE SHOCK HUGONIOT OF SINGLE-CRYSTAL LITHIUM FLUORIDE.

Abstract

Hugoniot data for single-crystal lithium fluoride have been obtained in the pressure range from 160 to 880 kilobars. The data indicate a phase transition near 420 kilobars. The transition is not identified, but is intuitively expected to be from the low-pressure face-centered-cubic form to the high-pressure body-centered form. (Author)
