THE USE OF IMMUNOSORBENTS FOR DETERMINING THE SPECIFICITY AND ACTIVITY OF FLUORESCENT SERUMS (Primenenie Immunosorbentov dlya Opredeleniya Spetsifichnosti i Aktivnosti Lyuminestsiruyushchikh Syvorotok),

Abstract

A new method has been developed which involves the use of a standard material, an immunosorbent, for work with fluorescent serums. Using this simple and convenient model, it was possible to reproduce from classical methods, especially the reactions of inhibitions (extinction), specific fluorescence (two-stage blocking tests), neutralization and agglutination processes. The authors propose a new modification of the agglutination reaction which involves the use of an immunosorbent and fluorescent serum, with determination of the reaction by use of a fluorescent microscope. The sensitivity of the reaction is doubled when this variant is employed. (Author)
