TEST AND ANALYSIS OF THE EQUIPMENT TEST TRACK.
Abstract
A small, self-propelled, single-tracked test chassis, designed for use in an upcoming experimental program of traction tests on submerged soils (depths to 20 feet), is described. Some relevant, simple state-of-the-art procedures for calculating traction performance are offered. The results of preliminary trials, intended primarily to demonstrate mechanical operation of the rig in the underwater environment, are presented and commented. (Author)
