ELECTROCARDIOGRAM R-WAVE AMPLITUDE DETECTOR.
Abstract
The report describes a device that accepts a raw electrocardiographic signal as an input and generates a steplike output where the height of each step represents the amplitude of each R-wave on a beat-by basis. The instrument is designed to accept an input peak-to-peak signal of 0.5 mv. to 5.0 v., enabling it to accept most of the commonly available signal levels. An adjustable d.c. offset and optional a.c. coupling circuit are available in the output stage of the device to facilitate the study of the beat-by-beat change in R-wave amplitude. (Author)
