RESEARCH ON TURBULENT FLOWS WITH CHEMICAL REACTIONS.

Abstract

The progress made on the principal effort is discussed, namely that connected with the application of hot-wire anemometry and digital techniques for obtaining on a time and space resolved basis the velocity components and concentrations of constituents of highly turbulent multicomponent gaseous flows with significant density fluxuations. Related hot-wire research is discussed which was motivated by anomolous behavior observed during early hot-wire experiments in this project. In addition other work is discussed which is related fundamentally to turbulent flows in propulsive devices. (Author)
