PROBLEM OF FRICTION IN DIAMOND HONING,

Abstract

The work examines friction characteristics during the diamond honing of six steel grades. A relationship is established between physico-Mechanical characteristics of machined material, optimal honing regimes, and mean friction coefficients. Experimental data are presented on the influence of lubricating and cooling liquids on the friction coefficients. (Author)
