OIL ADDITIVES (SELECTED ARTICLES),
Abstract
The report discusses the results of research in the synthesis of new additives, development or improvement of production technology, the study of the mechanisms by which additives act, and also the results of research on the effectiveness of additives and their combinations in motor oils, insulating oils, power machinery oils, and other oils. Several new additives, which have been thoroughly investigated and tested by scientific research organizations and motor works, are recommended for industrial production, which should further improve the operational properties of oils. The production of additives and their combinations has been increased significantly. At the same time, a discussion of the reports shows that there are still many deficiencies in developing high-performance additives, in the technology of their production, and in their rational applications.
