THE STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF ALLOYS EP404 AND EP454,

Abstract

The article discusses certain high-strength alloys with regard to their ability to be combined. It is noted that EP404 and EP454 can be hardened both by the decomposition of the solid solution with a given phase as well as by the separation of the Me (Mo, W) type phase. The presence of the Me (Mo, W) phase in these alloys increases their strength, but reduces their ductility and impact strength. These combined alloys are recommended for machine parts working under high loads for short periods. (Author)
