PROCEDURES FOR THE ANALYSIS OF METALS, ALLOYS, AND OTHER MATERIALS OF RESEARCH. PART 5. AN INVESTIGATION OF THE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF CADMIUM-ZINC ARSENIDE.

Abstract

Cadmium-zinc arsenide was analyzed by a combination of chemical and instrumental techniques. After the initial removal of arsenic by distillation, cadmium and zinc are determined by a combined gravimetric and atomic absorption spectrophotometric procedure or by a polarographic procedure. The experimental procedures for determining each of the three major constituents are given in detail. Methods used for checking the effectiveness of their respective separation are also discussed.
