INTERACTION OF A SPHERICAL SOURCE FLOW WITH A RAREFIED ATMOSPHERE.

Abstract

The interaction of a hypersonic spherical source flow with a rarefied background is solved using a model Boltzmann equation employing a three fluid description. Matched asymptotic expansions of the variables in inner (background scattering) and outer (jet scattering) regions are employed and the zeroth order composite solution found. (Author)
