STUDY OF SOUND SCATTERING IN THE OCEAN.

Abstract

The design, assembly and at sea testing of a six-frequency sonar array system are described. The system, being a new one, had some technical problems most of which were resolved during sea testing. Useful acoustic data were acquired with the sonar array system during the initial three week work period at sea and these data are partially analyzed. (Author)
