INVESTIGATION OF THE SYSTEMS P2O5-Sb2O3-Cr2O3 AND P2O5-Sb2O3-V2O5,

Abstract

A study was made of glass formation in the systems phosphorus pentoxide-antimony trioxide-chromic oxide and phosphorus pentoxide-antimony trioxide-vanadium pentoxide by means of differential thermal analysis with simultaneous recording of the change in electrical conductivity and X-ray analysis of the firing products. Certain physicochemical and electrical properties of glasses in the phosphorus pentoxide-antimony trioxide-chromic oxide system were investigated. The possibility of using complex thermal and qualitative X-ray analysis for studying melting processes and the characteristics of glass and crystalline-glass materials was demonstrated. (Author)
