DISCRETE SPLINES VIA MATHEMATICAL PROGRAMMING.
Abstract
Mathematical programming is used to investigate constrained minimization problems in real Euclidean space which are the discrete analogs of spline problems posed as minimization problems in a Banach space. Existence, uniqueness, characterizing properties and computational methods are given. (Author)
