Method of Manufacturing a Magnetic Disk,

Abstract

Sheets of magnetic material mounted on a low-sonic backing are coated with a polyvinyl compound. After drying another sheet of the magnetic material is placed on the top, so that the polarities of the sheets are at 90 or 180 degrees. Then the material is heated under pressure and discs stamped out. This method is claimed to simplify the manufacture of magnetic discs. (Author)
