Investigation of Solid Isotope Helium Three in Support of Aerospace Materials Requirements.

Abstract

The report covers the investigation of weakly interacting magnetic systems at very low temperatures. The weakly interacting magnetic systems which were covered in this investigation were helium three-a nuclear magnetic substance, cerium magnesium nitrate, - a paramagnetic salt. The lowest temperatures were achieved in the experiment on cerium magnesium nitrate with the aid of high field magnets. In addition a phase transition in chromium potassium sulphate at 200K was investigated by means of ultrasonic velocity measurements. (Author)
