Simulation Model for the AADC.

Abstract

A Navy program to develop a flexible airborne computer which will be compatible with changing avionics mission requirements has led to an effort to implement a computer simulation of the proposed avionics system under representative program workloads. Realistic modeling of system software and hardware requires a simulation which reveals the effect of interaction between segments of program and computer resources. The SIMSCRIPT programming language is being used to implement an event oriented simulation of the avionics multiprocessor and its attendant workload. Examination of the utilization of system resources in the model will aid in determining the optimum computer configuration from among choices under consideration. (Author)
