Operational Technique for Continuous Seismic Profiling and Related Studies - 1970.

Abstract

The present status of the oceanic continuous seismic profiling (CSP) apparatus and techniques used by the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is described. Emphasis is given to discussions of source characteristics and to the collection of calibrated data with the latest broadband receiving systems. The establishment of seismic stations at which specific controlled measurements may be obtained is introduced. (Author)
