The Fitting of Experimental Data to a Parametrized Theory,

Abstract

A general discussion is given of the problem of fitting experimental data with a parametrized theory. The usefulness in this connection of a computer program, called HOME, is discussed and examples are given. This program was developed and has been successfully applied to a wide variety of problems.
