Elastic-Plastic Analysis of Anisotropic Annular Plates Under Internal Pressure.

Abstract

The report contains an elastic-plastic analysis of anisotropic annular disks subjected to internal pressure of sufficient magnitude to cause plastic deformation. The material is homogeneous but texture hardened in such a way that it is transversely isotropic about the thickness direction in both elastic and plastic regions. In the plastic region, Hill's yield criterion is adopted, work-hardening effect is neglected and both deformation and flow theories have been considered. Expressions for the stress and strain distributions are obtained, and the results are shown graphically. The effects of anisotropy are discussed and the comparisons of strain solutions by two types of theories are given. (Author)
