Antifriction Cermet Material,

Abstract

In order to increase the wear resistance and reduce the coefficient of friction, an antifriction cermet material is proposed which differs from the known type in that silicon is introduced into the material and the components are taken in the following ratio (wt. %): Carbon, 0.8-0.9; Chromium, 4-5; Silicon, 2-2.5; Molybdenum, 9-10; and Iron, the remainder.
