Organometallic Chemistry.

Abstract

Studies were made in several areas of organometallic chemistry, and in one area of high temperature chemistry. The main research effort concentrated on: Fluorocarbon complexes of transition metals; Carbonyl complexes of transition metals of 4d and 5d series; New chemistry of organo-derivatives of boron, silicon, germanium, and tin. The high temperature work involved the discovery that carbon atoms, generated from an arc, react with fluoroolefins to yield fluoro-allenes. A bibliography of the 18 publications so far produced during the course of the research forms part of the Report. (Author)
