A Guide to Coral Programming.

Abstract

CORAL is a high-level programming language which is to a large extent machine-independent in that programming in CORAL does not normally require special knowledge of the computer on which the programme is to run, only of the implementation for that computer. CORAL is based broadly on ALGOL 60 but is extended and improved in many areas. In this Report no reference is made to similarities between CORAL and ALGOL; CORAL is treated as an individual language and, therefore, no knowledge of other languages is necessary for complete understanding. It is intended that this Report should serve as a guide both for the novice programmer and for the experienced programmer who wishes to make use of CORAL's special facilities. (Author)
