On Markovian Lattices,
Abstract
Random fields that are defined on only a discrete set of points which form a rectangular lattice are considered. The Markov property of lattices is extended to include such random fields. The extension is based upon a monotone increasing set of polytopes--the ordering of the polytopes replaces the natural time ordering. A particular class of Markov random lattices is then considered in detail. It is found that assuming homogeneity severely restricts the structure of the lattice. (Author)
