Cermet Material,

Abstract

A proposed cermet material contains the following (in wt. %): Copper 59-61%; Iron 29-31%; and Graphite 9.5-10.5%. The reduction in the quantity of graphite and the increase in the iron content provide the required plasticity, wear resistance, and strength for the material. (Author)
