Results of Industrial Adaptation of Production of the Sulfonate Additive SB-3,

Abstract

Industrial production of SB-3 additive was adapted, D-11 selectively refined diesel oil obtained by treatment of a mixture of Baku oils was used as raw material for sulfonation. The SB-3 additive industrially produced was found to conform to all GOST standards, except mechanical impurities. The SB-3 additive with good mechanical impurities content was obtained by a triple centrifuging on TN-800 centrifuge which was assembled on belting (2 filter clothes) with two sheets of filter paper (or alternatively on a new STO-150 super-centrifuge) and by using 1 percent NaOH for preliminary neutralization of sulfonated oil.
