The Influence of Basic Parameters on the Dynamic Coefficient of Friction of Thermoplastics,

Abstract

The influence of the basic parameters (the surface temperature of the friction disk, the sliding speed, the normal force, the surface roughness of the friction disk and the sliding time during a prolonged test) on the dynamic coefficient of friction of thermoplastics (branched polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, polyamide, polymethylmethacrylate, toughened polystyrene, polytrifluorochloroethylene and polytetrafluoroethylene) was traced on the prototype of a tribometer designed for evaluating the static and dynamic coefficients of friction.
