Utilization of Waste Products from the Production of the Additive TsIATIM-339,
Abstract
Waste products in producing additive TsIATIM-339 (alkyphenols reacted with S2Cl2 contain the additive adsorbed on BaS and BaS3. The waste products were extracted 3 times with ligroine and the extracts were distilled at is not less than 150 degrees/300-400mm to give TsIATIM-339 sufficiently pure for shipment. The residue was dried and dissolved in water. The addition of NaSO4 to the solution precipitated BaSO4. The above treatment reduced the waste to 1/30 of the original amount. (Author)
