Microwave Mixer Diode Impedance,
Abstract
The dependency of rf impedance on i-f impedance in diode mixers is clarified by visualizing the mixer as a frequency-changing attenuator. The contributions of series diode resistance to impedance and conversion loss are calculated. Microwave circuits for measuring and matching mixing diodes are presented to simulate properly the mixing environment in the measurement mount. (Author)
