Determination of Oxygen Diffusion Coefficients in Tungsten Oxide.

Abstract

'Interruption Kinetic Technique' experiments carried out on tungsten oxide films formed on tungsten yield the expression for the diffusion coefficient of oxygen anion vacancies for the temperature range 568 - 908C. Calculations are made for the concentration of oxygen vacancies, for their free energy of formation and for ionic conductivity in tungsten oxide. Deviations from stoichiometry in the oxide are plotted against temperature on the available W-O phase diagram. (Author)
