Abstract

Research is directed towards improvement in procedures for the estimation of that portion of inland waterway transportation benefits which contribute to national income. The report is in three volumes. The second volume deals with the development of demand and modal split analysis, and with the estimation of cost functions for rail and waterway transportation.
