Visco-Plastic Flow of Glacial Covers and the Laws of Ice Deformation,

Abstract

The report presents the results of investigations which were made by the author during the Second Antartic Expedition (1956-1958). In the first part the author consicers the results of laboratory investigations of the laws of ide deformation. The second part is devoted to the problems of visco-plastic flow of glacial covers and a comparison of the analytic results which were obtained with data from observations under natural conditions in the Antartic.
