Influence of Ribonuclease on the Synthesis of RNA in the Cells of the Chorioallantois Infected with Influenza Virus (Vliyanie Ribonukleazy na Sintez RNK v Kletkakh Khorioallantoisynkh Obolochek, Zarazhennykh Virusom Grippa),

Abstract

Research is reported involving the classification of the mechanism of the effect of RNA-ase on the multiplication of influenza virus. The effects of RNA-ase on virally induced RNA synthesis in the first hours after cell infection was investigated. The effects of the inclusion of uridine C14 in a live tissue culture of chorioallantois (from 11-12 day chick embryos) infected with influenza virus are shown graphically. It is shown that RNA-ase inhibits the virally-induced inclusion of uridine C14 in the RNA of chorioallantis cells. (Author)
