Approximate Analyses of Thermally Induced Vibrations of Beams and Plates.
Abstract
A simple general formula is derived for the ratio of the maximum dynamic to static deflection of heated beams and plates. The formula, although approximate, is in good agreement with the exact results, and takes into account the effects of damping and of axial or in-plane loads. (Author)
